On the September, Zhōng qiū jié, They have a ancient custom which they pay a visit to our family's or friend's graves. Some person often go back to their parent's house and eat a moon cake which is called Yuèbǐng(月饼) together, decorate the lantern to celebrate this event. Lantern festival is famous for Hong Kong, Singapore. they worship moon and this is originated from acient story(Hòu yì shè rì, 后羿射日).

In Japan, they never ate moon cake, but eat rice cakes while gazing at the moon during Zhōng qiū jié.

गणेश चतुर्थी, ganesha festival, India 

In India, Ganesha is the popular god who has the head of the elephant in Hindu mythology. We can see statues or pictures of that everywhere in India. Ganesha is a child of Shiva, who is called the god of destruction, and symbol of wisdom in Hindu religion. Statue of Ganesha, which is made of heavy clay soil is nicely decorated and people bring it into the home or community to keep praying there for nine days. Finally, they throw away statue of Ganesha into the river.

गांधी जयंती, Mahatma Gandhi Birthday, India 

On the 2nd October, They take a public holiday to celebrate the birthday for Mahatma Gandhi, who is known as Indian independence father. Mahatma mean 'Great Soul' in Indian languages, he was one of the famous religious Hindus who was fighting for Indian independence from British.

春節(Chūn jié)   

This event is known as lunar new years, they often decorate lantern, which is called Zhōng guó dēng lóng(中国燈籠) in front of their home or shop, 福(Fú), which means fortune is written on their lantern as upside down text. 倒了(dào le)mean upside down in Mandarine, 到了(dào le)which is same pronunciation as 倒了 mean "come" in Mandarine. The reason why they try to write upside down text on lantern is to represent "come fortune". They call this upside down text "Fú dào le", which means "come fortune".

Performer wears a lion mask and dance on stepping stone on lunar new year. This dangerous lion dance is also famous performance to celebrate new year.

สงกรานต์ Sngkrānt̒is, Thailand, Cambodia    

ngkrānt̒is is a famous water festival which is held for three days of the lunar new year of the Thai calendar, which is the government has decided. (13rd ~ 15th April) Originally, they splash water to the Buddha statue and pagoda, but now it has become a fun festival all over the country, every pedestrian even foreigner or traveller often get soaked by citizens, who hold squirt gun.

Bon festival, Japan  

In the August, Bon festival, most Japanese can take public holiday to visit to a grave for sweeping. Bon dance is one of traditional dance to perform religious services for the souls of their ancestors. They often wear traditional cloth, Kimono, Yukata in this festival, enjoy eating Japanese street food such as syrup, chocolate banana, cotton candy on the foodstand.
